Unauthorized transactions refer to transactions that you did not initiate or participate in, in any way, indicating potential unauthorized use of your card credentials.
Merchant disputes happen when you have a problem with charges from known merchants. This might occur if you did not receive the expected product or service, or if the charge exceeds the agreed-upon.
Before submitting a merchant dispute claim, we ask that you work directly with the merchant first. This is the quickest way to resolve the issue. If the merchant is uncooperative, you can file a dispute for the charge.
When filing a merchant dispute, you will be asked to provide details about the transaction you are disputing, such as the date, amount, and description. You will need to provide evidence you have to support your claim, such as receipts, invoices, or communication with the merchant. This step is required to file a merchant dispute.
